Kattoprojekti

Jonkun verran on edetty vuoden aikana. Katto lähtee viimeisteltäväksi, jotta saadaan kesäksi veneen päälle. Perusmuoto on aika hyvä jo, mutta reunoja muokataan sulavammiksi muodoltaan.

Kevyt se on, mutta helpompi nostaa nosturilla.

Kesälomareissu

Tässä kesälomareissu 2015, lentokoneesta nähtynä.

Lähtöpisteenä Stormälö. Matkaa yhteensä 153 mailia, Mercruiser joi 275L bensaa.

End of the boating season

Beautiful weather, 12th of September. This season figures: 470 nautical miles, 43 days boating (and obviously some nights also). 860L gasoline.

Kappaleet irti

Päivitys kattoprojektista. Etupilareiden muotit valmiina, takapilarit valmiina. Oli kivaa taas nähdä jotain valmiimpaakin kuin pelkkiä lestejä ja muotteja.

Tehdastuotantoa

Vaikeuksien jälkeen päästiin eteenpäin. Etualalla takapilarien valmistusta: muotissa on valmistumassa varsinainen kappale. 2 x Gelcoat, 2 x 300g/m2 matto, 20mm Divinycell, 2 x 450g/m2 matto. Alapäissä ei ole Dinvinycelliä, koska sinne pitää rakentaa kiinnitysraudat pulttauksineen. Sitten kun kappale irrotetaan muotista, reunat trimmataan ja lopulta siihen laminoidaan kansi.

Taaempana isojen pilarien lestit, joiden päälle on valmistumassa muotti. 2 x Gelcoat, 300g/m2 matto, 3 x 450g/m2 matto.

Isiteek

Our dog had problems using original stairs, were little bit too slippery for dogs paws. Now it is Isiteek. I also added a stripe of Isiteek for doorstep.

Tehdastuotantoa - hard top factory

I decided to build a lifting crane for my small factory. There are small wheels in it.

Then it is easier to move hard top over the boat mock up and back to working level. Also, it is very easy to fit the roof on correct place, when attaching side pillars into it.

Side pillar plugs are now painted over with top coat. Then another layer, sanding smooth and then it is possible to start making molds.

Updates

Early bird catch the... long season ! 1st of May in Nauvo. One and only in strap-on pier... no need for fenders.

Finally, this is how the new hard top will look like! Next summer... and a new kind of Bayliner 265 will be born.

Vesillä jälleen

Tästä se kausi alkaa. Vene on kotisatamassaan, ja valmiina ensimmäiseen viikonloppuretkeen.

Laskeskelin, että kevättöiden eri vaiheita varten kävin veneellä viisi kertaa eri viikonloppuina.
1) pohjan hionta ja vetarin/trimitasojen maalaus
2) uuden lukuvalon asennus, uusien hyllytasojen asennus, patja sisälle, vessan pumpun avaus ja vaseliinit sisään
3) veneen talvipressu pois, ja kannen siivous, pohjan maalaus
4) lisää siivousta, kylkien pesu ja vahaus, keulapotkurin sinkki, moottorin testaus, automaattisammuttimen asennus, veneen lasku ja ajo kotisatamaan, vesipumpun asennus ja vesijärjestelmän sanitointia etikalla.
5) lukuvalon johdotukset sulakerasiaan ja nollakiskon asennus, yläkylkien pesu ja vahaus, television asennus, pakkasen rikkoman hanaliitännän korjaus (onneksi oli uusia liittimiä), siivousta, tavaroiden kantoa sisälle.

Rip off the winter coat

Jobs done:
- calling for Mercury service, and get them replacing impeller for sea water pump, gas filters, new zincs for sterndrive, grease all maintenance spots, checking steering connections, checking belt tension
- painting sterndrive and trim tabs
- sanding the bottom
- removing winter tarp and framework
- power washing the deck and cockpit
- cleaning, cleaning...
- treating camper canvas and stretching it into its place
- inside installations (see Insides)
- Mein Kampf: ramming in the mattress for mid cabin and ventilation net under it
- greasing and reinstalling the Jabsco toilet pump

Needs to be done:
- painting the bottom
- change bow thruster zinc
- washing and waxing the hull
- loose connection in battery, work it safe
- install fresh water pump
- refuel and off she goes

These babies needs to wait for summer and good temperatures for glass fiber works. Next week it is time to start spring maintenance for boat.

Hard top bimini, new pictures

I didn't like the original plan of hard top, so I have been actually making modifications into this. I have manufactured plugs for 3rd and 4th pillar. Now it was good time to update this into pictures. Also main pillar front corners needs to be widened, but that can be done later. Colour will be white, not blue as originally planned.
